A. Swanson is a worker, not an artist. He is originally from Minneapolis but is currently based in Chicago, mainly working with relief, screen, letterpress, and lithography printmaking, in tandem with fashion and sound work. His main influence is music and the culture around it, and his experience is shaped by working in music venues. He is currently studying and making work at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, pursuing a BFA in Studio Art.
